Suit carrier for cycling commuters
Latitude 56 Degrees, a company which designs innovative products for the adventure sports and travel market, asked competitiveScotland to assist them with reviewing their current concepts.
After a thorough review during which they took their idea back to basics, they asked the Department of Design, Manufacture and Engineering Management ( DMEM ) to create a physical prototype. They took the prototype to the SIE National Business Plan Competition - and won!
Kevin Fox, one of the founders, said, "It made such a difference having the prototype. I'm sure we would not have won without it.". The prize is worth 15000 GBP and you can read more about it on the University of Strathclyde website.
